What’s the STEAM?
With this experiment, kids will get their hands busy doing some food science and basic chemistry. By shaking the cream vigorously for a few minutes, the fat molecules in the cream shake out of place and clump together. This becomes the butter that we all know and love to eat! Oh, and you’ll get the bonus of having buttermilk with the leftover liquid from the heavy cream!
